Lady Gaga Lacks Staying Power

 Lady Gaga may have just recently won Billboard's Rising Star award, but she is likely to flame out over the next ten years.

According to a recent online survey conducted on Vizu's Power Polls network, 73% of the respondents who expressed an opinion, don't think Lady Gaga will be a major vocal artist in 10 years.

Then again perhaps Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta, a.k.a. Lady Gaga, will take over the pop diva throne from Madonna Louise Ciccione, a.k.a. Madonna. The two pop-tarts do seem to share a similar penchant for avant guarde fashion.

Public Opinion Sides with Kate Gosselin

It is hard to avoid the media coverage of Kate and Jon Gosslin's debacle of a domestic life and their public spats and antics.

Given all the hype about these reality stars super public rift, most people don't side with either Kate or Jon.  But of those celebrity crazed people who do, twice as many take Kate's side in the battle according to a recent online survey conducted on Vizu's Power Polls network.

Taylor Swift is a Better Person Than Kanye West

Following Kanye West's embarrassing hijacking of Taylor Swift's moment on stage to receive her MTV Best Female Video award, an online survey conducted on Vizu's Power Polls network confirmed the obvious: Taylor Swift is a better person than Kanye West. At least that is the way almost 85% of the people who took the survey see it despite Kanye's attempts to apologize.

 Many celebrities, such as John Mayer, Michelle Branch, Adam Lambert, and Carrie Underwood stood up for Taylor after the incident, including Beyonce Knowles who Kanye suggested had a better video than Taylor's winning video.  Taylor even found some time to poke some fun at Kanye on Saturday Night Live before going on to win Best Female Vocalist and Entertainer of the Year at the CMA's leaving Kanye to eat dust while others took pot shots at Kanye on Taylor's behalf.

ESPN Body Issue May Rival SI Swimsuit Issue

While Sports Illustrated features models in skimpy swimsuits once a year, ESPN's Body Issue goes the full monty and features photos of naked famous athletes.

The ESPN photos are not as sexy as the SI photos, but the real question is which magazine will sell more copies.  Here again, ESPN comes up short.  According to a recent online survey on Vizu's Power Polls network, three people think that ESPN's Body Issue will not catch SI's Swimsuit edition circulation for every two who do.

ESPN Body Issue Not So Sexy

ESPN's Body Issue features numerous shots of naked athletes.  ESPN is so proud of the issue, that they made six different covers, each featuring a different nude athlete.  The nude cover photos include Serena Williams, Adrian Peterson, Gina Carano, Dwight Howard, Claire Bevilacqua, and Sarah Reinertsen.

ESPN's Body Issue is clearly taking a page out of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue playbook, but to the extent that sex sells, ESPN's Body Issue does not seem to make the grade.  Three times more people think that the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue's pictures are sexier than those in the Body Issue according to a recent public opinion survey run on Vizu's Power Polls network.

Robin Williams Playing Susan Boyle

Despite early rumors that Robin Williams was set to play Susan Boyle in a movie about the Britain's Got Talent frumpy singing sensation, that no longer seems to be the case.  Robin Williams reportedly discounted the Daily Telegraph which surfaced the rumor.

Perhaps Robin should reconsider playing the part of Susan Boyle.  In a recent online survey on Vizu's Power Polls network, almost 50% of the respondents felt that Robin would make a great Susan while only a quarter of the respondents thought casting Robin Williams, a.k.a. Mrs. Doubtfire, as Ms. Boyle was a poor choice.

Well if not Robin, who then? Meryl Streep, Helena Bonham Carter, Brenda Fricker, Imelda Stauton, other?

Kathy Griffin and Levi Johnston Messing Around

48 year old comedienne, Kathy Griffin, showed up at the Teen Choice Awards with Levi Johnson, Sarah Palin's daughter's baby's father, as her date.  Despite Johnston's flattering comments toward his date, "She's beautiful and funny," most people don't expect this relationship to go anywhere.  In fact, of those who expressed an opinion on a recent online survey on Vizu's Power Polls network, three times as many people don't think Levi Johnston and Kathy Griffin will become a real couple as those who do.

So was this a pure PR stunt or is one of them secretly longing for the other?  Maybe Kathy Griffin is just trying to position herself for a role or guest appearance in Courtney Cox's Cougar Town which airs later this month.

Facebook Jumping the Shark

Will the release of the movie about Facebook called The Social Network portend the beginning of the demise of the uber popular website just like the end of the TV show Happy Days was signaled by Fonzie jumping a shark on water skis?

 According to a current online survey on Vizu's Power Polls network, a slight majority of the respondents familiar with the phrase, "jump the shark," think Facebook will jump the shark about when The Social Network is released.  That would mean that Mark Zuckerberg might go t he way of The Fonz, i.e. become an icon of a bygone time.  Almost hard to imagine right now for the young billionaire CEO.  Then again, there are Friendster, MySpace, AOL, etc. to consider.

Victoria Beckham - Permanant Americal Idol Judge?

Victoria Beckham made a couple of guest appearance on American Idol as a replacement for the recently departed pop star, Paula Abdul.  While, on the surface, Victoria seems like a good replacement for Paula Abdul, chemistry with the other judges is everything.  As a result, only about 2 out of 5 people who expressed an opinion in an online survey on Vizu's Power Polls network, think Victoria will become a permanent judge on American Idol.

Megan Fox - No Angelina Jolie

 Despite being super hot and a Hollywood it girl who starred in one of this summer's blockbusters (Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen), Megan Fox is no Angelina Jolie.

According to a recent online survey conducted on the Vizu Answers Power Polls network, four respondents said Megan is no Angelina for every three who said Megan is the new Angelina.  Apparently Megan's MTV and Teen Choice nominations just don't stack up to Angelina's Oscars, Emmys, and Golden Globes.  At 23 years old Megan still has some time to catch up to the 34 year old Angelina.  We'll see who is on top in 10 years.
