Speaking with E! News on the carpet at the Golden Globes, Halle Berry dismissed the buzz that she would play Aretha Franklin in an retrospective of the the Queen of Soul.
Indicating her RESPECT for Aretha, Halle said, "If I could carry a tune, I'd consider it. Someone should tell Aretha that I can't do her justice."

Hmmm...not sure if Halle would be right for this role. Love her as an actress but if she can't sing and doesn't really look like her then maybe they could find someone better.

I saw her in LA a few months ago and she doesn't look anything like Aretha! But she was gorgeous.

Um, did Aretha ever look like Halle Berry? I know it's Hollywood, but...maybe they could find someone who looks closer and can sing?

Halle is great, she could def play Aretha, and with the right makeup she might look right. She is just such a good actress!
