Bye Bye Paula Abdul Says Amerian Idol

Why would the most popular show on television mess with success?  Maybe because Paula Abdul is unstable and grating.  Then again maybe that is what make American Idol so special.

Fox does not seem to be taking any chances that Paula might self destruct leaving only Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell to bicker with each other.  This season American Idol will break from the three judge tradition of most reality TV competitions and add a fourth judge, Kara DioGuardi.

Many people seem to think that Kara's arrival might be opening the door for Paula's departure according to a public opinion poll on the Vizu Answers research network.  Seems reasonable to think that someone must be headed for the door, given that it is hard to imagine Fox thinking that the audience wants to see even more judge's banter instead of singing.

Though it may be hard to imagine that anyone would not be better than Paula Abdul, Fox is apparently concerned about how Kara DioGuardi will perform according to the National Enquirer.

paula is not leaving Idol. she is perfectly normal and she is doing a great job and she is also getting along very well with kara, from what i have heard. and in an interview she said that she wants to sit next to randy and kara but simon does not let her because simon wants to sit next to paula and nobody else. which to me sounds like "if paula leaves, simon will leave too". so her job is SAFE.

I think people want to see more judging and less singing. I sure do. The singing is very boring and contestant talking is even more boring. the Judging is very entertaining though. and mostly thanks to Paula Abdul. without her, i doubt Idol would be still be nr 1. Without her, it would have been like survivor I think. nr 1 for 2 years and then fade. but now its still nr 1 after 7 seasons. Imagine how freakin boring Idol would be without her! simon, ryan and randy are just robots (as in, have you seen them once, theres no real need to see them again because you know they will be exactly the same) and this Kara person already tried to be a judge once and failed big time (show got cancelled after 2 episodes). Idol needs Paula for sure.

not only is Paula not leaving Idol. She also has a second TV show coming up soon. She is doing great.
